Our Story

The Secord Loyalist is a newspaper written by a grade 12 English class at Laura Secord Secondary School. This semester, the 4U English class taught by Patrick Sirianni took a new approach to learning by creating its own curriculum and units. Based loosely on the criteria for a successful curriculum, students came up with creative unit plans. On this list was a student-run newspaper. Students interviewed, designed, wrote, and edited to create The Secord Loyalist.
